Visiting San Francisco is a wonderful experience but you need to make sure that you make the most of your trip. Here are a few tips to make sure your vacation in San Francisco is perfect.
• Plan the time of year you are going to visit – June to September are the hottest and driest months so they might be the best months for you to travel there.
• Find out about the attractions in advance – this might seem like a pointless thing to do but planning your activities can save a lot of time once you arrive in San Francisco. It also means that you can pre book any of the more popular tours and ensure your place on them, imagine how disappointed you would be if you missed out on one the sights.
• Work out your budget – making a budget means that you will not be caught short of money during your trip. Having a budget does not mean that you are penny pinching; it means you are planning your trip sensibly.
• What events are happening during your stay? San Francisco plays host to a large array of different events throughout the year. Around January / February time it is Chinese New Year. June is the time for San Francisco’s gay community to celebrate and this is topped off with the Gay Pride Week. Stern Grove hosts many musical concerts from June to August. Make sure that you know if there is an even planned for when you travel so you can join in with the fun with the all locals.
• Be safe – this sounds like common sense but you really should make sure you are safe when you travel, so watch your money and don’t take risks.
